RK addressing locals at Kapkatet The NSSF Managing Trustee Mr. Richard Langat famously known as RK has marched into Kericho Politics with figure after his long service with the National Government.

RK whose family is known to have produced pronounced leaders in the region has declared that his candidature for Kericho Governorship and pledged that he will rescue the County from the current leadership that has not solved the troubles haunting locals economically.

“ I will vie for Kericho Governorship come 2017 and I will ensure all regions get their share of the County cake” he said.

The well-connected to the top leaders has been doing a series of meetings in Bureti and reliable source told us that masses have shown interest to support him.

Based on the research done in Litein town, the Famous South rift has establish that 90 percent of people of Bureti supports his candidature alleging Bureti has been neglected for long.

Reliable sources allied to him say that RK is officially sent by the Rift valley Kingpin (DP) to rescue his name from the incumbent County boss who appears unreliable.

It is publicly gossiped that Governor Paul Chepkwony was elected by virtue of being allied to DP but upon election, he chose not to support him in his home county.

Therefore it is expected that come 2017, as usual Prof. will be dealt with squarely to trim the rise of opposition in the Kipsigis land.

This happens at the wake of bad blood between Chepkwony and Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto who used to be his close ally before Chepkwony flipped being and chose to go back to Jubilee but the party’s top brass never invited him saying he was unreliable.

To ensure the win, RK is said to have held privy meeting with Engineer Fred Kirui to stand as his running mate.

Kericho Deputy Governor Susan Kikwai is hails from Kipkelion and choice of Fred will replace the serving.
