Hellen Chepkwony’s tangible work

 How Kericho Women Rep has touched lives
She has given incubators to every ward

Residents of various counties in the Country have been faulting their Women Reps or County MPs to be dormant and have done nothing.
In Kericho, the area County MP Hellen Chepkwony has proven strength, competence and big heart for the under privileged persons in the Society.
As a single mother who was widowed several years ago has inspired several women who know her history that everything is possible in life by her ability to make things work out.
Upon the demise of his late husband she still stood firm and was able to establish huge developmental projects for his family well known by those who stayed close to her and her hard work prompted her nominations to County Council after 2007 and she was able to quickly transform Bureti to notable heights in development.

Hellen is a renowned farmer doing large scale tea farming, dairy farming, coffee farming, horticultural and poultry farming even as she does politics.
From the proceeds of her labour has been able to fully sponsor forty needy students now in various secondary schools and universities.
Beside her charitable work, the compassionate and reachable woman, with her rich experience has been able to model hundreds of women on how life skill lessons.
She has also sponsored medical camps worth sh. 5 Million across the county.
The determined leader who believes in herself saw and seized an opportunity with the devolved system of government and contested for Women rep position.
Through her networking ability she sourced seven greenhouses from Amiran Kenya Ltd which was shared to all sub counties to help locals earn a living.

Her development record, politeness, eloquence in communication and well-kept African culture in her saw her rout her competitors.
“We want to appreciate Hellen Chepkwony for helping us get incubators in every ward this is a noble initiative that will foster poultry farming among the women across the county” Joyce Sang from Kipkelion said.
Her office has trained young girls on key womanhood lessons in a one week training which was held at Kipsigis girls and elderly women trained on skills of making African ornaments which are highly demanded by both local and international tourists.
“I am among the women who were trained at Kaborok on how to make several cultural ornamental materials and we are proud that our able women rep has also sought for market for our products” a woman from Ainamoi said.

With the fact that the largest percentage of county women and youths depend on Agriculture for survival the women rep with her able officers are apparently setting up an Agricultural training centre near Kisumu road that will impart farming skills on county residents.
“ After a well research done the County lacked an institution of training locals on farming skills and the MP is now setting up the institution near Kisumu road that will train on Poultry farming, dairy, horticulture among other farming” an officer in her office said.
With her able staff, she has also carried out civic educations on human rights, health matters, current affairs, CV writing and financial management.
She was also the brainchild of the ongoing table banking which has received warm welcome across the county in partnership with the wives of the top politicians at the county.
Among those who have benefitted from his work include; girl child, women groups, youth groups and boda boda operators and all the vulnerable in the society.
